Pretzel Bites
My pretzel bites are so addictive you can’t stop eating until they’re all gone.
Delicious with spreads, perfect on their own, or even with a warm bowl of soup – simply delicious.
This time I used the same dough as my challah.

Hi, I’m Ofira

Because practice doesn’t just make perfect, it builds confidence.

Pretzel Bites
Ingredients:
500 g all-purpose flour
2 tsp salt
4 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp dry yeast
2 tbsp olive oil
1 1/4 cups water
For topping: 3–4 tbsp baking soda, coarse salt
Instructions:
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
Add the wet ingredients and knead into a sticky dough.
Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
Roll the dough into a log and cut into small bite-sized pieces.
Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the baking soda.
Boil the pieces for 20–30 seconds, then remove with a slotted spoon and place on a parchment-lined baking tray.
Sprinkle with coarse salt.
Bake at 200°C / 390°F for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving.
